TRUST IN HIS TIMING
We pray to God for things we want.
We pray that He will hear.
We pray that He will answer;
give us that which we hold dear.
The hardest thing is patience;
knowing God has heard our plea.
Then waiting for a sign, we ask,
“What will God’s answer be?”
Will it be YES, will it be NO,
will it be WAIT, NOT YET?
Whatever God decides, just trust
the best is what you’ll get.
The answer comes in HIS time,
not in ours to decide,
Put trust in God, and live in joy,
and in His word abide.
It isn’t always easy
but in life we ebb and flow.
Our trials will make us stronger
as we learn the Word and grow.
OVERCOMING THE ENEMY
When worry comes in day or night
and thoughts of fear arise,
our mind is overtaken
by the devil in disguise.
The enemy is waiting
for the moments just like this,
to magnify our worries
and remove us from our bliss.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Our weapon is the Word.
Luke 10:19 reminds us of our power;
God-conferred...
to trample snakes and scorpions;
authority is ours.
God gifted us authority
over all the enemy’s power.
Turn to God Almighty’s Word
and cast away your fear.
God cares for you. He’s always there.
He holds you, oh so dear.
Store the Word inside your heart,
recite it every day.
Your weapon is the Word
to keep the enemy at bay.
PRAISE THE LORD
Sing to God your praises,
sing them loud and long and clear.
For He alone is worthy,
and our praise He wants to hear.
Sing of all His goodness,
of His glory and His might.
Shout for joy, and worship Him
and know that God is light.
Hallelujah, praise the Lord,
from Whom all blessings flow.
Worship Him with gladness,
He is listening. He will know.
Praise God for His mercy
and forgiveness every day.
Praise Him for the peace He gives us
every time we pray.
Praise Him for His love, unfailing,
limitless, and true.
Praise the Word and Will of God
in everything you do.
Let everything with breath now
praise the Lord, yes… sing it out!
Let everything with breath now
praise the Lord, your praises shout!
Glory, glory, glory be to God,
so many ways...to glorify the Lord, our God,
through worship, song, and praise.
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD
The Lord, my God, is in my soul,
forever in my heart.
A love, above all other loves,
that can’t be torn apart.
For I am God’s beloved child…
a child that He holds dear.
He gives me strength and comfort
and removes all doubt and fear.
The Holy Spirit guides me;
I can feel Him every day.
It’s Jesus, Lord and Savior,
there can be no other way.
I’m ever strong in faith
and I believe with all my might...
through Jesus Christ, we come to God,
His glory and His light.
THANK YOU, HOLY SPIRIT
Jesus promised, when He left,
His Spirit would not go.
It lives within all Christians
who believe, and this I know…
that He will never leave me.
He’s my teacher and my guide.
Teaching me God’s truth,
He is forever by my side.
Yes, He is deep within me,
I can feel Him every day,
affirming what is right for me
and showing me the way.
Protecting me from darkness;
I can feel the darkness flee.
The enemy can never win
with Him inside of me.
THE WISDOM OF GOD
Be not wise in your own eyes
by standards you have set.
For you’ll become a fool in time
when standards are not met.
Instead, do put your trust in God,
the wisdom of the Word.
Make known your wants, release all fear,
and know that God has heard.
The Lord gives to the righteous,
those with hearts so pure and true.
In all your ways submit to Him
and good will come to you.
Through prayer and supplication,
and with gratitude combined…
you will be transformed
by the renewal of your mind.
GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST
Holy, holy, holy,
oh my Lord, I worship You.
An ever fount of holiness,
so righteous and so true.
Almighty God and Father
in the highest, hear my praise.
I worship and adore you.
Up toward Heaven, arms I raise.
You gave us Your begotten son,
Lord Jesus Christ, He came.
He took away our every sin,
we pray now in His name.
Hosanna in the highest,
of Your glory, I will tell…
everything You’ve done for me…
a never-ending well.
FAITH IN THE UNSEEN
When you believe in Jesus
and in what you cannot see…
by grace, you will be saved by faith;
you truly will be free.
Free from sin and suffering;
maintain a Christian mind.
Freedom from the enemy
and all the ties that bind.
It’s easy to believe in Him
when everything goes right.
The true test is to keep your faith
when dark usurps the light.
Though faith may not be easy
when you deal with pain and strife…
that is when you need it
more than ever in your life.
The storm won’t last forever,
and your faith will see you through.
Then you can help another
know exactly what to do.
Grace and peace will multiply,
when deemed your heart is true.
You will have eternal life
when God gives that to you.
CAST AWAY YOUR FEARS
Be not afraid and know that God
is always by your side.
Let go of fear and worry not,
and by His word abide.
In darkest night, anxiety,
through worry and through fear,
God hears and will deliver you,
the child He holds so dear.
Be strong and be courageous;
know He cares so much for you.
Whatever trials you’re dealing with,
know God will pull you through.
THE LORD IS MY REFUGE
Ever present, ever near
when trouble comes my way,
the Lord, my God, is by my side.
He’s never far away.
Though waters roar and mountains quake
and darkness fills the night,
The Lord, my God, protects me
with his power and his might.
The Lord, He is my refuge
and my strength. I know it’s true.
“Believe,” is what He tells me
through the Word, and so I do.
Obey the Word of God
and in His comfort you may rest.
Be willing and obedient
and know that you are blessed.
